Persons to avoid in life

Here's a confession. I am an anti-social person. I don't have many real friends or close friends. Many times I have been told that I need to be more social able. However, in my attempts to be more social able to people, I have meet some people who were not really nice or genuine. These persons have torn me down, ridicule me or made me feel bad about myself even when I'm in a good mood. So to avoid it happening again to me in the future, I have become more selective of the persons who I interact with in the future and withhold certain details about myself from persons. Here are the types of persons I have become aware of in my life. The bragger or superficial person - These persons like to show off to people everything that is going on good in their life. They wear the latest clothes, shoes, hats and oftens sports high-end cellphones and gadgets even when their salary or income cannot maintain that lifestyle. When they see a humble person with ordinary clothes and gadgets...

How to tell when you're not valued (worthless)

In life, we all try to seek the approval of the persons around us. We want to be liked, loved, respected, praise and cherished. However, there are some situations where persons will not value you even though some will pretend to value you. For these situations, I will give some tips to help you know when you're not being valued You always have to initiate the conversation. Sure, conversations are good and everything but if you are the one always starting it that should be a major red flag. Conversations are a method in which people share values and attitudes with each other. If you are the one always starting the conversation with your friends or group of colleagues it means that these people do not value anything that you're saying. Sure, they may go with the flow of your conversation but when it comes to giving their input it is often short and to the point, as to end the conversation quickly. This manoeuvre is used to get out of your way as soon as possible because ...

How to life as stress free, happy life as a single man

Image
As a single man, I am continually presented that my lifestyle will lead me into misery and despair. I am told that single people live horrible lives and are often social outcast. However, I have noticed that many persons in relationship feeling isolated, frustrated, miserable, caged, abused and rejected. It is though they want to portray that their lives are typical ok when it's not. So for those considering or currently in single male life, here's my tutorial on how to life by yourself. Avoid persons who are in relationship - Persons in relationships will use their relationship as something to get an advantage over you. To them, you are nobody because you don't have a girlfriend and they will constantly rub it in your face even if you hare at higher educational level than them. It is best to hang with persons with similar interest and background as you as they will take your mind about the present state that you are in by channeling you into different areas and activit...

My analyst of Men

Image
In my last article, I talked about my analyst about women. It was mainly about how women are nowadays. However, after some readers reviewing my article, It seem that there was a bit of bias that was being convey to the women. Therefore to remain impartial, here is the rebuttal of my previous article. Men tend to be social loners. Even though  some men tend to have a lot of male and female friends, more than often they tend to spend most of their time alone. Any problem that they encounter they are usually expected to solve them on their own. Men don't tend to have a support structure as females have and this can lead them into very dangerous circumstances and situations. Men are masters of laziness. Men can be in a room with nothing to do and within a few moments come up with the most entertaining experience in their entire life whether it be a crazy game, epic conversations or some amazing idea. For women having, nothing to do will be nothing but torture for them as they f...

ISIS and Jamaica??

Recently, my country, Jamaica, has been linked to the terror group ISIS because of warnings send by the US about ISIS activity in the Caribbean region. It has gotten so bad that a Jamaican teenager was arrested at an airport in Suriname for suspicion of  joining ISIS. When the investigation was done, it was founded that the young man had no connection with the organisation and in fact had no connection with Islam. Thus he was released from all charges against him. This labeling has not only ruined his reputation but also the country which is a huge blunder to be made in these times. Now I'm here to clear the air about Jamaica in terms of ISIS. Jamaicans barely know anything about ISIS. We are clueless about them as much as the rest of the world. In facts, we barely know much about the religion of Islam. In Jamaica, the majority of the people are Christians with a very small minority being Muslim. So our view about Islam and ISIS is formed by the media i.e. we tend to view them ...

Job Interviews, A waste of my time

Hello everyone. Its me again unemployed, broke and sponging off my parents with my degree which I can barely used. Hooray me! I know you might be saying just get a job. Well give me one and I'll shut up. One thing I realized is being unemployed is like being a nerdy virgin (which I am);wanting something but can get it. So I tried applying for some jobs and I can tell they were a complete waste of time. Imagine, I get a call for some company, I read up on the company, trim my hair, get my papers self together and practice the questions and so on. Yet, six months later unemployed. So let me tell you about my first interview. I went to the place early and all prepared and thing. I followed the book basically. The interviewer asked me two questions about my qualifications. I answered to the best of my ability. He said OK and thank you for your time. 2 minutes. Next interview was at a high school but they rejected me. Next interview was at a debt collections agency (repo company). They ...

The Jamaican Countryside

Image
Hello again everyone! I have returned again unto you. I have been busy with exams and I was in the Jamaican Parish of Manchester visiting my relative. Currently, I am at present in search of employment to serve my family and pay off my student loan. While I was in the countryside, I couldn't but help notice how beautiful Jamaica really is. You understand I live in Kingston and the sole matter I see often is concrete buildings, roads, cars, pollution and people; not to say I don't like people, but they tend to be exceedingly aggressive, uncouth, untidy, disorganized, scandalous, vicious and selfish. In addition, Kingston tends to be a plaza filled with high crime rates and poverty which means high stress rates for the dwellers. So I said to myself, I need some relief from all this stress and went to the cool Parish of Manchester to chill out from the heat in Kingston. While I was in Manchester, I could take in the beauty of God's creation; trees, birds, flowers, the stars (I...

Are Places of Worship Safe?

Image
In today's world there is high levels of violence occurring in every imaginable location affecting both young and old. The amazing thing about the world is that we adapt by providing security in our homes, businesses and schools to continue our daily lives. However, when it comes to religious institutions, there is no sign of security of the members or church to feel comfortable. Constantly there are reports of criminals and terrorist attacks on religious institutions such as churches, mosques and synagogues. These institutions usually cater to families which means there must be children. So this begs the question, are religious institutions safe? Well let us examine the facts. I attend a christian church in Kingston, Jamaica and somehow I am not satisfied with the safety that my church offers. Recently a member's vehicle was stolen from the church's parking lot during service. The member was extorted of a large sum of money from the criminals to return his vehicle in a saf...

The people in the church

Image
You know ever since I was young, I always thought that the people in the church were the nicest people in the world. I have been going to church for a long time now and I was always told that church was the best you could be. Well since I have been there I was never felt welcomed; I always felt i never belonged there. Growing up, I used to be the laughing stock of both school and church. I used to be called nerd, stiff man, glasses man and so on. I had no friends and sometimes I was sidelined due to my lack of athleticism ( I was never good at sports).  I remember onetime people at my church spread rumors about me being an homosexual even though I was just a kid and I wasn't even one. This tarnished my stature very badly and it took some years to be fixed. I remember when those church folks would call me a weirdo even now. Some don't even know my name, age, birthday or school and I have been there for over 20 years. Yet these are the same folks telling you to love one another. ...

If atheists ruled the world

Everyone in today's world are blaming religion for all the world's problem. Many are saying it is useless and insignificant. In fact many are claiming that everyone should be atheists. Well imagine a world where the rulers are atheists and all religion is banned. Here's what would happen. There would be no need for weekends.   Weekends were created in order for the general public to attend worship services at their temple. These include both Muslims, Jews and Christians. Also these times were specially need for rest from their labour and family time. In an atheist society, there would be no need for persons to attend church or the temple, hence, they would be expect to work a full 7 days a week. Governments would use this opportunity to increase the productivity of all industries which would lead to the removal of the weekend totally.   There would be no need for religious holidays. Let's face it. We all love holidays; whether it is Christmas, Easter, Thanksgivin...

Yes there are jobs,we are just lazy

I have heard many complaints from individuals about the lack of jobs available even for people who are trained in highly productive fields. Many times it makes me wonder whether these statements are true. Often times individuals including young people have the perspective that work must occur only in an office around a computer. Many times they fail to realize that technology is fast taking over the world with different avenues to explore. Numerous websites are dedicated to the improvement of the individual in the 21st century yet we still act like the world hasn't changed. People especially young people need to realize that the traditional jobs are becoming far obsolete and learn not to saturate popular fields. Also there needs to be the focus on managing the job prospects for individuals and young people. And there needs to be the highlight of  other jobs that are available and fields that are always open. People also need to learn not to rely on getting the big bucks. Here ...

Murder is our fault

Image
Since the beginning of the world murder was a common thing for human. In fact at the end of this sentence, ten people would've died already. We have last week and this week the number of international murders in the new s from the navy yard in Washington to the attack on the mall in Kenya. Not to mention numerous murders that are constantly happening worldwide.  This begs to wonder what is wrong with this world and what could drive people to do these things? Even though you may think that you have no part to be blamed for murder in society,  we do in fact contribute to it. We are all murderers. This may sound like harsh statement but it is true. We are murderers whether or not we pull the trigger of the gun. Every time we hurt someone's feelings we are committing murder.  Every time we see the needy or those who require our assistance and refuse to assist them, we kill them. Every time you fire your employee who can barely make ends meet, we become a murder. The world h...
