Jamaica, land of shit and sewage water

Image
Jamaica, you are a country that is only full of shit. Your people are nothing but shit. They cause their own problems and ask the world for help. The country is ran by dunces who claim to be good leaders but are merely fools in charge. The people are only mindless  zombies who won't think for themselves. They tell their youths to do the right thing and punish them when they do actually do what they say. Jamaicans claim they want a change however, when it comes they are quick to tear it down. They don't listen to wisdom but they love the words of the fool. They claim to love the environment but they are the first ones to damage it. After all, you can smell the sewage smell from miles out the sea. Jamaica, land of dream killers and idea crushers, anything uplifting here will not prosper because they are envious and jealous. And then they wonder why the country not growing. Jamaican parents are the worst in the world. If you don't believe me, just ask any child about the abus...

These are the last days? So what?

You know everytime bad happens in the world, Christians are the first to remind us that these are the last days. When 9/11 happened, they say these are the last days. When there is a mass shooting somewhere in America, they wail " these days are the last days", when the recession began they cry " these are the last days", when same sex marriage is legalized they protest " these are the last days". Even when somebody dies due to violence, accident, or war they cry " these are the last days". Truly, thanks for the reminder but we don't really care. Human beings have been committing many atrocities from the beginning of time, so much so that we have learned to adapt to these misfortunes. We know that life is a game and a bitch plus the theme of life is survival of the fittest. This means that we should expect bad things to occur. Look at the animal kingdom, they know that death and pain is apart of their daily and they have learned to work with ...

ISIS and Jamaica??

Recently, my country, Jamaica, has been linked to the terror group ISIS because of warnings send by the US about ISIS activity in the Caribbean region. It has gotten so bad that a Jamaican teenager was arrested at an airport in Suriname for suspicion of  joining ISIS. When the investigation was done, it was founded that the young man had no connection with the organisation and in fact had no connection with Islam. Thus he was released from all charges against him. This labeling has not only ruined his reputation but also the country which is a huge blunder to be made in these times. Now I'm here to clear the air about Jamaica in terms of ISIS. Jamaicans barely know anything about ISIS. We are clueless about them as much as the rest of the world. In facts, we barely know much about the religion of Islam. In Jamaica, the majority of the people are Christians with a very small minority being Muslim. So our view about Islam and ISIS is formed by the media i.e. we tend to view them ...

Social Graces. Is it on the decline?

When I was a child, I was told that manners would take me around the world. However, while growing up I've noticed that persons with the least amount of respect for other persons where given better treatment than those how conducted themselves in a decent and proper; as if manners was thrown out the window. In other words, the ruffians/bullies rule the earth and respect is how anyone chooses it to be. So what could be the cause of the decline of social graces in the society? Could it be the breakdown of the family, the lost of moral values, the influence of popular culture such as music and fashion or the migration of person from rural to urban or international migration

Job Interviews, A waste of my time

Hello everyone. Its me again unemployed, broke and sponging off my parents with my degree which I can barely used. Hooray me! I know you might be saying just get a job. Well give me one and I'll shut up. One thing I realized is being unemployed is like being a nerdy virgin (which I am);wanting something but can get it. So I tried applying for some jobs and I can tell they were a complete waste of time. Imagine, I get a call for some company, I read up on the company, trim my hair, get my papers self together and practice the questions and so on. Yet, six months later unemployed. So let me tell you about my first interview. I went to the place early and all prepared and thing. I followed the book basically. The interviewer asked me two questions about my qualifications. I answered to the best of my ability. He said OK and thank you for your time. 2 minutes. Next interview was at a high school but they rejected me. Next interview was at a debt collections agency (repo company). They ...

The Jamaican Countryside

Image
Hello again everyone! I have returned again unto you. I have been busy with exams and I was in the Jamaican Parish of Manchester visiting my relative. Currently, I am at present in search of employment to serve my family and pay off my student loan. While I was in the countryside, I couldn't but help notice how beautiful Jamaica really is. You understand I live in Kingston and the sole matter I see often is concrete buildings, roads, cars, pollution and people; not to say I don't like people, but they tend to be exceedingly aggressive, uncouth, untidy, disorganized, scandalous, vicious and selfish. In addition, Kingston tends to be a plaza filled with high crime rates and poverty which means high stress rates for the dwellers. So I said to myself, I need some relief from all this stress and went to the cool Parish of Manchester to chill out from the heat in Kingston. While I was in Manchester, I could take in the beauty of God's creation; trees, birds, flowers, the stars (I...
